And so it was Christmas ...

... even a white Christmas (as often wished and dreamed in the popular Christmas favorite tune of the same name).
...two days before Christmas our neighborhood started to turn white ...let it snow, let it snow...
and, yes that's snow on the front (hood) of our car and also on other cars...

... the day before Christmas, the roads were clear but the mountain tops remained white and beautiful ...driving to go buy some taro for the toana'i... lol!

... sometimes, when there's a heavy snowfall - as it was on this Christmas day - the best place to be is inside the warm living room looking out and admiring the white pure pristine powder.

setting up the skype ...

...it was a "white" Christmas too in the sense that it was a happy one from skyping with our missionary.  Interesting that two previous Christmases our son and daughter skyped together from the mission field; now it's our oldest grandson continuing the tradition.  And with the close ages of our   grandchildren, it looks like this is a tradition that will go on for years.

... the missionary skype is always the best treat on Christmas day ...

... pesents unwrapped and it's hoverboarding time ...

...better watch out

The Day After ... We had a family day in the snow.  We went sledding/tubing (not the extreme type) at a park just a few blocks from our house.  Everyone especially the grandchildren had fun...

.. getting ready for the "snowball effect" slide

Hot chocolate was the "sports drink" of the day ...lol

The closest I'll ever get to be a snow sport enthusiast  ... hahaa

...even the youngest grandson/child tried out the fun in his mickey mouse snow outfit....

 ready ... set ...goooo!!

... it's like playing in the sand, only colder...veeery coooold indeed... but when you're having fun, snow is warm and hot like ...... sand!...yeaaahhrigggght!
